Join Dr. Mariana Figueiro, Director of the Light and Health Research Center at Mount Sinai, and Anica Landreneau, Global Director of Sustainable Design for HOK Architects, for a dynamic discussion of the ways light and lighting affect our daily experience and our health. Learn how to use light to improve your wellbeing and how you feel within physical spaces, indoors and out. Discover new ways to save energy at home or in the workplace as you leverage lighting to improve your space.

This event will feature brief presentations from the two speakers along with a facilitated discussion led by Monica Downs, Energy Analyst with the Office of Environmental and Energy Coordination.
The Fairfax County HomeWise program educates, empowers, and enables residents to make changes that reduce energy use, water use, and associated costs in their homes. Volunteers assist low- and moderate-income residents with physical improvements to their homes and provide support for behavior changes that are proven to conserve resources and money. Educational ambassadors connect with Fairfax County students and residents to raise awareness of personal actions that can save energy, water, and money.
