Affordable Housing Residents Featured at HUD Conference

Two Fairfax County affordable housing residents presented to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) last week. Heather and Debbie, who utilize affordable housing supported by the Fairfax County Redevelopment and Housing Authority (FCRHA), participated in a panel discussion at the annual meeting of the HUD Office of Public Housing Investments in Alexandria, VA.
They shared their housing journeys and described the various issues related to affordable housing – emphasizing the importance of community and sharing ideas to increase stability and security for those participating in federal housing programs.
Heather and Debbie have been featured by the FCRHA in its “People of Affordable Housing” video series.
