This public hearing is being held to receive public comment and input on the County’s:
performance on the One-Year Action Plan for FY 2022, and the Citizen Participation Plan; and
housing and community development needs to be addressed in the One-Year Action Plan for FY 2023
The Fairfax County Consolidated Community Funding Advisory Committee (CCFAC) is interested in hearing from ALL residents, including those who need, or are receiving, affordable housing or other human services assistance; and from local community and faith-based organizations, and private enterprises that provide direct services to or advocate for County residents.
During the on-line public hearing, participants will have an opportunity to make presentations and take part in discussions designed to gather information about:
current affordable housing and human services needs and how well those needs are being met;
specific differences in those needs in different areas of the County;
projected needs for affordable housing and human services in FY 2023 and whether services will be sufficient to meet those needs, particularly considering the impact of the coronavirus pandemic and immigration activities; and
experiences and practices of ANY forms of discrimination in accessing affordable housing or human services.

The Board of Supervisors is expected to approve the final One-Year Action Plan for FY 2023 in May 2022, to be submitted to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) as part of the federal reporting requirements for HUD-funded programs.
