The Fallstead at Lewinsville to Open October 2018

Last year, the County of Fairfax, in partnership with the Fairfax County Redevelopment and Housing Authority (FCRHA) and Wesley-Hamel (Wesley Housing Development Corporation and Hamel Builders), hosted a groundbreaking ceremony to celebrate the start of construction on the Lewinsville Community Campus.

The Fallstead at Lewinsville Center, which consists of 82 units of privately operated affordable senior independent housing, has been completed.  The county facility, which will include a senior center, adult day health care center, and two private child daycare centers, is expected to be completed in spring 2019. At no cost to the County, Wesley-Hamel designed, developed, constructed, and will own and operate the 82 unit senior independent-living residence under a ninety nine (99) year ground lease with the County.

The new Lewinsville Community Campus will bring nearly four times as many affordable independent-living units to the community for seniors at or below 50 percent of the area median income. It will also nearly double the capacity at the Adult Day Health Care Center and Senior Center and provide state-of-the-art facilities for the childcare centers.

A grand opening event for the Fallstead will be held on October.  For more information about the Fallstead, visit: http://www.thefallstead.com/.
