Have you ever desired to be a part of the decision-making process for determining how county money should be used to address community needs? Now is your chance! Fairfax County is reaching out to residents in neighborhoods across the county in search of volunteers to participate on the Selection Advisory Committee for the Consolidated Community Funding Pool (CCFP).
The CCFP is a competitive grant program for which organizations apply to provide critical human services to support the county’s most vulnerable residents. The Selection Advisory Committee is a collection of community volunteers who review and evaluate the proposals submitted and makes recommendations on how the funds of the CCFP should be distributed.
Volunteers must:
Be a Fairfax County Resident
Be at least 21 years of age
NOT be a current Fairfax County Government employee, board member/officer, or an employee of any organization planning to apply for CCFP funding
Commit 2.5 hours per week from January through March of 2022
Submit a resume with their Selection Advisory Application
This volunteer opportunity does include a pre-service orientation for all committee members and may be undertaken entirely virtually if requested.
Application Deadline: August 30, 2021
