Who We Are
The Fairfax County Redevelopment and Housing Authority (FCRHA) is a nationally-recognized, award-winning public housing agency serving the people of Fairfax County, VA. We seek to create a Fairfax County community everyone can afford to call home.
The FCRHA is a distinct political subdivision of the Commonwealth and possesses specific powers granted by state law. The authority of the FCRHA is vested in 11 commissioners appointed by the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors – one representative from each supervisor.

A ‘Moving To Work’ Authority
The FCRHA holds a special distinction as a U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development ‘Moving To Work’ agency. This enables the FCRHA to create local affordable housing initiatives and use federal funds strategically. Learn more
