FCRHA property management under one contract.

The Authority owns roughly 3,800 affordable homes across Fairfax County that provide affordable rents to qualifying households under a myriad of programs. Previously, day-to-day management of these properties was conducted by multiple contractors. Through consolidating under a single contractor, residents can expect a consistent living experience across all property locations.

FCRHA conducted a competitive process for the contract award, allowing potential contractors to bid by region or the whole portfolio. The Authority and Quantum Real Estate Management are working toward an official September 1, 2026 launch, ensuring continuity of operations during the transition. The transition was announced today to FCRHA residents.

“We are confident the consolidation of functions under Quantum Real Estate Management will deliver service consistency across all properties. Our residents will have a seamless experience, whether they live in Reston or Alexandria,” said Amy Ginger, Deputy Director for Operations, Fairfax County Department of Housing and Community Development.

Quantum already manages hundreds of properties in FCRHA’s portfolio, and will assume responsibility for the full portfolio on September 1.

FCRHA housing customers can contact their onsite management office with questions or details, or email rha@fairfaxcounty.gov.
