Please be advised that the Affordable Housing Advisory Committee (AHAC) meeting originally planned for Friday, September 7 is cancelled. Given the current activity around Phase I of the Communitywide Housing Strategic Plan, the preparation to transition to Phase II of the Plan, and the work on Embark Richmond Highway, AHAC leadership has decided to pause meetings for now. We do apologize for the late notice. Regular updates to AHAC members will be provided during this interim period. For those who may be interested, the Town of Herndon Planning Commission will be hosting a panel on Housing Diversity in Herndon and AHAC member Shelley Murphy will join HCD Director Tom Fleetwood and FCRHA Dranesville Commissioner Melissa Jonas in discussing development options to hopefully incentivize the town to think about options during redevelopment. The meeting will be September 5, 7 p.m. at Herndon Council Chambers, 765 Lynn Street, Herndon, VA.
