New Senior Housing in Fairfax County Accepting Pre-Applications For Fall 2024
The Fair Lakes area of Fairfax has a new affordable housing option for older adults opening soon.
The Lodge at Autumn Willow in Fairfax is now accepting applications. The community offers 150 affordable homes for adults ages 62+ who meet eligibility requirements. The development is owned and operated by Michaels Development and created in partnership with the Fairfax County Redevelopment and Housing Authority (FCRHA) and the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors.
People interested in applying can do so online or by calling 571-609-3090. A mix of one- and two-bedroom units ranging from 696 to 1,163 square feet are available. Applicants must meet income eligibility requirements. Fifteen units are Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliant.
Convenient location
The Lodge at Autumn Willow encompasses more than 20 acres located at the intersection of Stringfellow Road and Autumn Willow Drive, convenient to the Fair Lakes retail, recreation and dining area. Amenities at include a community room, library and fitness center.
Natural wooded setting
Nestled into a forested neighborhood, Autumn Willow’s modern design is inspired by the area’s natural wooded setting, with the goal of connecting residents to nature. Additionally, outdoor spaces include a serenity studio, reading cove, firepit, recreation area and onsite walkways that connect to Fairfax County Park Authority trails.
