It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Commissioner Kenneth “Ken” Feng on Tuesday, September 5, 2023. Commissioner Feng was appointed to the Fairfax County Redevelopment and Housing Authority (FCRHA) as the representative of the Springfield District in 2017. For the last six years, he demonstrated a commitment to the business of the FCRHA, including as a member of the Housing Ownership, Management and Security (HOMS) Committee. He was particularly supportive of the FCRHA’s work to provide more housing options to low-income seniors, and he took a keen interest in the FCRHA’s stewardship of its public resources. Commissioner Feng was instrumental in bringing to closing and breaking ground at Autumn Willow, a senior property in his own Springfield District. He will be deeply missed by the FCRHA and the staff of the Department of Housing and Community Development.
