The Fairfax County Redevelopment and Housing Authority has released its Fiscal Year 2021 Annual Report, highlighting many significant milestone achievements through the adversity of the pandemic.
In a joint statement, FCRHA Chairman Melissa McKenna and Tom Fleetwood, Director of the Fairfax County Department of Housing and Community Development shared the following:
“As the FCRHA has continued to respond to the physical and economic conditions resulting from the pandemic, we have adapted processes and policies and continued to forge strong community partnerships in a relentless pursuit of advancing affordable housing opportunities. In doing so, we have achieved a new level of versatility and we are continuing to use every resource at our disposal to achieve our affordable housing preservation and development goals.”
The report includes a statistical summary of the FCRHA’s core housing assistance programs; several feature articles covering ongoing initiatives and projects related to affordable housing creation and preservation; and also includes some personalized accounts that exemplify the impact of the FCRHA’s work on the lives of residents in our community.
